This shows the east narrows of the Indian Dock looking east. There is about 500' of open water in the channel at the narrows. The entrance to the bypass trail into the little bay has about 2" of soft white ice for about 100' in the mouth of the bay. It makes it impassable. The ice in general has slushy areas about 4" deep. I found 10" of ice in the western mouth of the Indian Dock Channel. There is 6" of ice where the bypass trail comes onto the bay. Avoid using the trail that enters near the western narrows as the ice is thin there. Taken Feb.11/17
I found 8" of ice mid channel between Shasha and Beauty islands. Taken Feb.11/17
I found 4" of ice about 200' off of Gash Is. between Bernyk Is. Taken Feb.11/17
