 This shows the channel between Redner Bay and Amanda Is.  There are large areas of slush about 4" deep on 4 1/2" of ice with 1" of snow on top.  Once this freezes there should be about 8" of ice.  Taken Dec.31/17



 These three views show Five Mile Bay near the beginning of the Indian Dock Channel.  I found 5" of ice with about 1" of snow on top.  Taken Dec.31/17

     I drilled the ice in the channel between Redner bay and Amanda Is.  I found 4 1/2 " of black ice with about 7" of snow on top.  Taken Dec.30/17

 I broke the snowmobile trail into Kineras Bay today.  It goes 1/2 a mile through the bush.

     I launched the scoot and hauled my boat out of the water today.  The first signs of ice are appearing along the shore.  There is about 10" of snow on the ground.  The water is still very high.  Taken Dec.9/17
