I was into town last week (Jan.21) by snowmobile across Five Mile Bay. Most of the ice was good at 7 to 8 inches thick. However about 25% is about 6 inches thick and covered with slush that make going more difficult. I was in on Jan. 26th and the conditions had not improved much.

As of today there is 4 inches of ice with 2 inches of slush with 2 inches of loose snow on top on of the ice on west end of Five Mile Bay. It is still not safe to snowmobile on!
