I took advantage of a sunny break between the blizzards and high winds to take these pictures around Kineras Bay.  The ice around the shore is 4 to 6" thick.  Taken Dec.21/16

The bay froze over early this morning.  The channel is still open.  About 10" of snow fell yesterday and last night.  The winds were between 30 and 50 knot most of the day.  Taken Dec.15/16

I was surprised to find ice around my docks this morning.  The water was still 44 deg. F. yesterday.  I thought I had another 4 or 5 days.  I had to scramble to close some job sites, launch the scoot and haul my work boat.  This is the first ice of the season.
This week the blog has been viewed by more Russians than Canadian and American viewers combined.  I am curious why so many Russians are viewing.   Contact me and let me know.
