This ice on Five Mile Bay is just over 2" thick.  Notice the crack the scoot just made.  I think this ice will clear in the next few days but will probably refreeze in the polar vortex this weekend.  Taken Mar.20/16

Here is my first video ever taken with my still pocket camera being held up by hand over the windshield.  By the end my hand was very cold.  Despite what the ending appears there was no problem.  The scoot is a 12 ft. flat bottom boat with a 100 hp aircraft engine on the back.  There is no suspension so you feel every bump and ripple.  The video starts on Seven Mile Bay heading towards the seven mile narrows and finishes at the mouth of Kineras Bay.  The goal when driving is to maintain a speed of about 25 mph.  If I go to fast on water it will start to porpoise indicating to slow down.
