Taken April 17/13  Looking across Five Mile Bay.  This is soft candel ice and will be gone in a day od two.  I saw two boats break through and navigate the South Channel Towards Amanda.  The back bays are still quite solid.  Only Glen Burney and Rose Point are putting boats in.  The other Marinas are still iced in.
Taken April 17/13  Looking west through the Menominee Chanel.  The ice here is thick but soft and will be here 3 or 4 days.
