This series of pictures was taken Jan 25/07. The ice conditions have improved significantly. I hope to be able to snowmobile out early next week. The temperature was -22c. This picture shows craganmor point. What a difference two weeks makes.

Kineras Bay jan. 20/07. The snow is about 4 inches deep.

This picture of Kineras Bay was taken Jan. 20/07. The high today was -12 c with a pretty good windchill. The ice is about 3 to 4 inches thick.

This was taken Jan. 12/07. I saw a welded aluiminum outboard boat heading south in the morning and back to town in mid afternoon. That must be a record for navigating the south channel.
