I made it into Parry Sound by snowmobile today. This is about 500' off the point on Parry Island near the Dunroe portage. I found 3" of ice with 1" of slush with 2" of ice beneath. All the other drill tests averaged about 7" of solid ice the whole length of Five Mile Bay. There is about 4" of new snow with about 2" of slush under. Taken Jan.1/14
